A dictionary and learning tool built in-house
OrigDic is not a service that simply republishes an off-the-shelf dictionary. From collection policy through data shaping, level mapping, search, and learning features, the dictionary set and tools are researched, designed, implemented, and verified in-house.
- Original collection and editing: Vocabulary, meaning, part of speech, pronunciation, examples, and nuance organized for learning goals.
- Research-based level mapping: CEFR, Eiken grades, school levels, and related mappings researched and shown as learning guides.
- Repeated verification: Dictionary data, search results, updates, read-aloud, and quizzes checked on real devices and with E2E tests.
- Dictionary tools built in-house: SQLite, OPFS, PWA, and delta updates combined so search through review lives in one environment.
Where level information and learning materials reference public sources, we state sources and licenses and organize them to fit OrigDic’s structure.
